Job Description
Opportunity to join our retail and packaging team. This varied role involves welcoming and assisting customers in our shop, picking and packaging of products for both retail and wholesale customers, Responsibilities include accurate record keeping, shelf stock control, handling goods in, cashing up, liaising with production and maintaining a clean and tidy shop floor and packaging environment.
Core hours 9:15 - 17:15 Monday – Saturday (Saturdays worked on a fixed rota). Extra hours will be required at peak time.
This is a full-time position, available on either a permanent or temporary basis. If applying for a temporary position, a commitment until Christmas is essential - would suit gap year student or recent graduate.

CHOCOLATIER'S ASSISTANT
5 Days per week IMMEDIATE START
Job Description
We are looking for a full time (37.5+ hours per week) Chocolatier Assistant to work with the production team. This role involves scraping and polishing moulds, hand dipping, packaging and general kitchen duties such as cleaning. Kitchen open 8am - 6pm Monday to Saturday, hours worked between these times. Extra hours will be required at peak times and must be flexible to work weekends during busy periods. The successful candidate will be expected to cover other areas of work in the business as required. This is a junior role with potential for advancement to Chocolatier and an ideal opportunity for someone who wants to get started in the confectionery industry.

ESSENTIALS
- Have a proven interest in chocolate and confectionery.
- Enjoy working in a busy kitchen environment where space is limited.
- “Can do” attitude.
- Adhere to food safety guidelines and already hold or be willing to study for the Food Hygiene Certificate as soon as possible.
- Ability to focus on job at hand with good attention to detail.
- To be flexible and willing and able to work extra hours at peak times of the year and when exhibiting at shows.
- Good at record keeping.
- Able to be on your feet all day.
- Clean and clear up as you go.
- Excellent personal hygiene
- Thrive in a small team.
Experience in a kitchen environment would be advantageous but not essential.
